Build a social media content plan around customer questions

If finding something to post feels like starting from an empty page every morning, begin with the questions customers already ask. They reveal what people need to understand before choosing your business.

Collect questions from real conversations

Review enquiries, sales calls, product questions and comments you are authorised to use. Look for recurring themes. What is included? Who is the service suitable for? What should someone prepare? What happens after an order or booking?

Remove identifying information. A useful topic does not need to expose a customer’s private message or circumstances.

Choose the format that explains the answer

A short answer may work as a caption. A process may need a carousel or a simple demonstration. A product question may be clearer with an approved photograph showing the relevant detail.

Do not force every answer into the same format. Consider the material you can produce consistently and the channels your audience actually uses.

Give each post a useful job

Label the purpose before writing: explain a service, answer a concern, demonstrate a feature or help someone take the next step. This makes it easier to decide what belongs in the post and what can be removed.

The caption should add context. If the image already says “booking now open”, use the caption to explain who the session is for, what to expect and where to find the details.

Build an approval routine

Keep a manageable calendar with the topic, format, draft, required assets and person responsible for approval. Mark facts that need checking. Agree which comments can receive a standard reply and which should go back to the business.

Review what happened

Assess a post against its purpose. An explanatory post may generate follow-up questions; a campaign post may need a clear enquiry route. Use the available evidence to improve the next plan, without treating every like as a potential sale.

A content plan built this way stays connected to the business. It also gives you a repeatable way to find topics: listen to the next set of customer questions.
